TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Iran will host the first edition of the International Military Sports Council archery competitions next month, Tasnim news reported on Wednesday.

The archery games, attracting 10 foreign teams, will be held at Tehran's Azadi sports complex on Nov. 11-16.

The International Military Sports Council organizes various sports events for the armed forces of its 138 members.

Each year, the council organizes over 20 international events in around 30 different sports fields.
