MADRID, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Thursday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 1.69 percent, or 155 points, to close at 9,007.90 points.

A total of 31 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Electricity company Endesa lost 4.49 percent, followed by infrastructure company Acciona and gas and electricity company Naturgy that went down 4.36 percent and 4.06 percent respectively.

Pharmaceutical company Grifols advanced 0.64 percent, followed by telecommunication company Cellnex and hotel chain Melia Hotels that rose 0.33 percent and 0.22 percent respectively. Enditem
