FRANKFURT, July 12 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 75.84 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 12,492.97 points.

Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.94 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and personal-care company Beiersdorf rose by 1.63 percent and 1.53 percent respectively.

Commerzbank lost the most among the blue chips, falling 0.94 percent. Deutsche Post was down by 0.86 percent, and Energy group E.ON went down by 0.46 percent.

German multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 177.28 million euros (206.67 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
