FRANKFURT, July 3 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 110.97 points, or 0.91 percent, to close at 12,349.14 points.

Energy group RWE won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.77 percent. Insurance and financial services company Allianz and energy group E.ON rose by 2.89 percent and 2.40 percent respectively.

Material manufacturer Covestro lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.27 percent. German airlines Lufthansa down by 0.54 percent. Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer down by 0.53 percent.

Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 349.46 million euros (406.73 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
