SINGAPORE, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went up 0.61 percent or 20.03 points to close at 3280.87.

A total of 1.81 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.12 billion Singapore dollars (about 820.22 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 210 to 184.

The STI index closed down 0.81 percent or 26.56 points to close at 3,260.84 on Monday. Enditem
