MADRID, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Friday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.24 percent or 24.80 points to 10,271.40 points.

A total of 20 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal advanced 2.49 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Telecommunication company Cellnex rose 2.20 percent and infrastructure company ACS went up by 1.30 percent.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa lost 1.84 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Infrastructure company Acciona went down 1.73 percent and real estate company Merlin was down 1.35 percent. Enditem
