BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.29 percent, at 3,279.25 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.16 percent higher at 11,068.49 points.
